Work is underway on a third generation (3G) pitch at Huish Park to replace the old astro pitch.
Construction will continue through the next couple of weeks after the first patches of the old astro pitch were rolled away ready for the new surface to be laid.
With the weather being particularly bad in recent weeks the team have struggled to find places to train, but the new 3G pitch will provide the team with a decent training surface despite the poor weather.
Following stories in the local press in recent weeks Yeovil Town Football Club have moved to clarify the situation between them and Bournemouth Property Developer Eddie Mitchell.
Majority Shareholders Norman Hayward and Chairman John Fry said today: “No discussions have taken place with Mr. Mitchell regarding investment in the club and none are planned.
“With the club’s Planning Application due to be heard on April 2nd. Yeovil Town are totally focused on that, although Mr.Mitchell is always welcome as yet another Yeovil Town supporter!”
